Hansi Flick believes the opponent is good and the team must be better to win

Barcelona is about to travel to Benfica for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Coach Hansi Flick admitted that the opponent is very good and the team must perform better to have a chance of winning.

At the pre-match press conference, Flick said: "We are about to face one of the best teams in the Champions League. They are full of confidence and play very well. We must do better than them. I hope we can be better prepared this time than last time, because it will be a difficult game."

Flick repeatedly stressed that concentration is the key to winning the game, and believed that there is no such thing as an easy game in the Champions League knockout stage. Flick remained vigilant against Benfica, saying: "I really appreciate the way they control the ball. They play very energetically, which makes it extremely difficult to defend. But I think we are well prepared."

When reporters asked about the individual performance of some players, such as Robert Lewandowski, Flick said: "It is of course good to have a striker who can score goals, but the team is the key to giving him the chance to score. Everything is about the team, this is the core."

This is the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, and Barcelona will play the second leg at home on March 12. Before that, Barcelona will also play a La Liga match against Osasuna at home.
