Everton boss David Moyes named manager of the month for February

Everton manager David Moyes has been in excellent form this month, going five games unbeaten and kicking off with a 4-0 win over Leicester City, Everton's biggest win of the season so far.

They then played a fascinating Merseyside derby, with Everton equalising with a last-gasp goal from James Tarkowski in the 97th minute. Everton then successfully beat Crystal Palace away from home, before drawing with Manchester United and Brentford.

This is David Moyes' 11th Premier League Manager of the Month award, he last won the award in March 2013. David Moyes is now tied with Pep Guardiola for third place in the all-time winners list, behind only Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson.

David Moyes said after receiving the award: "It feels great to be back in the team here, everyone has made me feel very welcome. It shows that winning enough games and being named the best manager of the month means a lot to us.

"For me, joining a club and winning manager of the month in the first month is more about the players' commitment, attitude and the way they work. It's undeniable that the players have performed really well."

"I'm really excited because these guys are all incredible coaches and managers. I think playing in the Premier League for a long time will give me more chances to win the title. However, there are so many good coaches here and it's not easy to win the Premier League. It will be a big challenge."
