Emmanuel Agbadu will be looking to show his best on the international stage as he travels with the Ivory Coast national team in their World Cup qualifiers. The Wolves defender has made important contributions to the team in the Premier League.
In the second half of last year, Emmanuel Agbadu helped Wolves qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations as a regular starter for the national team.
Emmanuel Agbadu said : " It is a blessing for me to be selected for the national team. I feel honored. This was my dream when I was young, but now my wish has come true. I want to give my all for the national team, so when I received the call-up from the national team, I was really happy. This is a good opportunity for me."
"This feeling is really inexplicable, you need to experience it yourself to understand it. Because when you put on the national team uniform, the feeling is really different. When you are young, you will hope that one day you can play for the national team when you grow up."
“Growing up, I saw players like Didier Drogba and Didier Zokora playing in the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations, and I wanted to play in those tournaments with my country. Now I have, so it’s a really great feeling when I get there.”
Emmanuel Agbadu also said : " I feel good and I know I have to keep doing this. I really want to help my team qualify for the World Cup. This is a distant goal for Côte d'Ivoire, but also for the entire country. In any case, we will work hard for the team and I will give 100% of my efforts."
"I think Ivory Coast has excellent defenders, so this goal is not impossible to achieve. Football is a team sport, we will defend together and attack together, and I think we can maintain our excellent form in the next games."
