Eberechi Eze is happy to contribute to the team

Eberechi Eze scored England's third goal in their 3-0 win over Latvia and the midfielder was delighted to make his mark on the pitch.  

In the second half of the game, Eberechi Eze came off the bench and became the third player in Crystal Palace's history to score for England. Eberechi Eze came on in the 61st minute, and his brilliant moment came in just 15 minutes.  

Eberechi Eze received the pass on the left, cut inside and shot hard, but the ball was blocked by Antonis Chernomordis and went into the net.  

After the game, Eberechi Eze said: "I always want to have an impact on the game, no matter when I play, no matter how long I play. In this game, everything went well and I am also very happy to score and contribute to the team."  

“I just tried to create space, I tried to keep the defender off balance and shoot, and luckily it worked.”  

England scored first with Reece James's wonderful free kick. Eberechi Eze said: "You know his ability, he is definitely capable of kicking a dead ball like that. We performed very well and we knew what we needed to do in this game. It was important for us to win and I think we played well in this game."
