Riot Games has officially announced more details about its new League of Legends collectible card game, which is named Riftbound and formerly known as Project K.
According to a video posted on the official Riftbound YouTube channel, Executive Producer Chengran Chai and Game Director Dave Guskin said: “Riftbound is easy to pick up and play with friends, but also highly strategic and entertaining to watch at the highest level of competition.”
The video revealed detailed information about the game's first card pack, "Origins". The series will contain more than 300 cards and launch multiple pre-built decks, including classic heroes such as Lee Sin, Viktor, and Jinx. Each pre-built deck will contain a legendary card, and there will also be rare "secret legendary cards" for players to collect and pursue.
For novice players who have never played a collectible card game (TCG), Riftbound has also thoughtfully prepared a "Proving Grounds" starter set, which includes heroes such as Lux, Annie, Master Yi and Garen, to help newcomers quickly master the basic rules and game mechanics.
The game is expected to be launched in the Chinese market this summer and will gradually expand to English-speaking countries and other regions in 2026.
