South American powerhouse HEROIC defeated European newcomer MOUZ 3-1 in FISSURE Universe: Chapter 7 to win the first championship of the 2025-26 Dota 2 season and the second championship title in team history.
This victory not only brought HEROIC $125,000 in prize money, but also symbolized their strong comeback after TI 2025. As the first major event after TI, FISSURE Universe: Chapter 7 attracted many teams including Team Liquid, Nigma Galaxy and Aurora Gaming.
HEROIC made a pre-match lineup adjustment, with Wisper, originally playing position three, shifting to mid, while veteran Davai Lama returned to the position three. Although some questioned the effectiveness of the role change, the team's performance perfectly refuted those doubts.
HEROIC, who participated in the tournament as a direct invite, demonstrated their dominance by defeating 1win and Aurora Gaming 2-0, then Team Liquid 2-1, and finally MOUZ 3-1 in the final. Especially against the upgraded Liquid roster and the experienced MOUZ, HEROIC's overall coordination and execution were truly solid.
Since entering Dota 2 in 2024, HEROIC has consistently been recognized as one of South America's most promising teams. Despite the departure of key players and a roster shakeup last season, they still managed to reach the top six at The International 2025, proving their competitiveness. This victory further solidifies their position as a strong international team.
As the new season gets underway, HEROIC will continue their campaign at BLAST Slam IV, which will kick off on October 14th, aiming for even greater honors.
