Ruud van Nistelrooy: It was a tough defeat but the players tried their best

Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted that Leicester City lost 0-3 to Newcastle United. In this game, Leicester City fell behind after just two minutes of the game and although the team wanted to save the score, they still couldn't achieve their goal.  

After the game, Ruud van Nistelrooy said: "It was a difficult night. We lost the game in 30 minutes. However, everyone tried their best and everyone wanted to do their best, even though the result was not satisfactory."  

The second-half substitutions at least helped to contain Newcastle's attack, and Jeremy Monga's final 20 minutes provided an exciting moment for the team. Ricardo Pereira also came on for the team in the final stages of the game.  

Ruud van Nistelrooy said: "They have worked hard and responded well. The substitutes came on with a lot of energy and they showed the intensity they should have when they came on."  

"I saw Jeremy Monga's progress this time, and he improved so quickly. Jeremy Monga showed this in training, which is why we wanted to let him play. Jeremy Monga showed his strength in the game and will only get better and better. We hope he can perform better in the next game."  

"Also, Ricardo Pereira is behind him and talking to him a lot and supporting him as well. But you can see the quality of Jeremy Monga and he is a really good player."
