As the Los Angeles wildfire continues to spread, Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, has decided to close all offices in Santa Monica, California. They are currently only keeping key functions in operation to ensure the safety of employees.
Riot Games CEO Dylan Jadeja also posted on LinkedIn: "For Riot employees reading this, please remember that the mission and work will never change. But now, the most important thing is to take care of yourself and each other. "Our mission is to work together, and we are all working together. We are inspired by the support from offices around the world, and it is a testament to the strength of the Riot team."
Jadeja also promised that Riot Games will provide assistance to Los Angeles and the affected communities after the crisis is over. He wrote: "It is too early now, and no one knows exactly what will be needed or can be done next. The reality is …we’re still in it. When the time is right, Riot will step up for Los Angeles and give back in every way possible to all the communities that mean so much to us. While our operations span the globe, Riot Games’ roots will always be in Los Angeles. . Los Angeles raised us and we are proud to call this great city home.”
"We will get through this together. Thank you again for your support."
“Please stay safe and take care of yourself and others.”
