Reims completes the signing of Kashiwa Reysol's Japan U23s international right-back Hiroki Sekine..

Reims announced on its official website on Sunday that the club has signed Japan U23s international right-back Hiroki Sekine from Kashiwa Reysol.

According to the Ligue 1 club's official statement, Sekine has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. At the same time, he will also wear the No. 3 jersey.

About Hiroki Sekine

Hiroki  Sekine, who is only 22 years old, was born on August 11, 2002 in Suruga District, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is 1.87 meters tall and plays as a right-back.

When Sekine was young, he played for the school team of Togendai Elementary School. Later, he also played for the school team of Shizuoka Gakuen Junior High School and High School. After graduating from high school in 2020, Sekine was invited to join Kashiwa Reysol for trials while studying at Takushoku University. After graduating from university, he was officially signed by Kashiwa Reysol in 2023.

In May of the same year, Sekine completed his Kashiwa Reysol first-team debut in a Japanese League Cup match.

During his two years with Reysol, Sekine played 33 times for the J1 League club in all competitions without scoring any goals or making any assists.
