BLG adjusts coaching staff in key battles, Maokai: Global BP is more challenging to respond on the spot

On May 2, Beijing time, the BLG team temporarily changed its head coach in the crucial match against WBG. The original head coach Yang Jisong (ID: Maokai) was removed after the second game, and Fu Qianwei (ID: Bigwei) and SKT legend Li Zhixun (ID: Easyhoon) became the head coach and assistant coach respectively.

At the end of the game, BLG defeated WBG 2-1 to end their losing streak. In the post-match interview, Maokai also explained the reason why he did not play in the third game: "First of all, we feel that under the premise of global BP, it is difficult to prepare the BP for the next two or three games in advance. I think it will test the coaching team's on-the-spot BP ability. But in this process, I may need to watch the specific process in our game, so it may be better to let other coaches prepare the next BP without watching the game content in the third game."

Maokai went on to say that similar division of labor among coaches may become the norm under the global BP system: "I think there may be a division of labor among global BP coaches in the future, so I think this is a very normal thing."

As for the newly joined jungler Yang Ling (ID: Beichuan), Maokai commented: "I think first of all, it's a change of atmosphere and a new experience. Secondly, I think Beichuan's judgment of his jungle matchups and his planning for the jungle are pretty good. And I feel that the whole team is also cooperating with him. If they can get along better, the effect may be better."
