BESTIA missed BLAST Austin Major due to visa issues

Due to multiple visa rejections for two players, the Argentine CS2 team BESTIA was forced to withdraw from the 2025 BLAST Austin Major (BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025). According to the rules, the event organizer BLAST announced that the runner-up of the South American Qualifier (MRQ), the Brazilian team Legacy, will be substituted.

BESTIA previously qualified for this year's BLAST Austin Major Championship with Fluxo and Imperial through the South American MRQ. However, two BESTIA players, Luciano Herrera (ID: luchov) and Thomas Korner (ID: tomaszin), have been unable to obtain US visas, resulting in the team being unable to participate in the competition with a full lineup.

BESTIA expressed strong dissatisfaction with BLAST's unilateral decision through social media platforms. The team's CEO Alejandro Lococo (ID: PapoMC) also pointed out that the visas of the two players are expected to be issued smoothly before next Monday: "I just received confirmation from the people who are doing their best to help us that the visas for Lucino and Tommi will be completed before Monday."

"At the same time, we received an email from BLAST informing us that we would be replaced by Legacy. Legacy was easily defeated by us in the MRQ final, and they would announce this in a few minutes."

"I ask everyone to make one last effort to help me stop this injustice. Next week BESTIA will represent Argentina in the Major."

There is no indication that BLAST will change this decision. The event is scheduled to be held in Austin, Texas, USA from June 2 to 22, where 32 of the world's top teams will compete for a total prize of $1.25 million and the glory of the championship. With the changes to the entry list, the first stage of the 2025 BLAST Austin Major will be adjusted accordingly.
