Wuhan eStarPro player Liu Tianhao (game ID: Yi Zheng) announced on Friday that he would officially bid farewell to the professional arena. In the statement, he admitted that his condition was not as good as before, so he decided to return to his daily life.
The statement read: "I decided to bid farewell to the arena the moment the spring season ended, because I felt that my competitive state was no longer enough to support me to achieve the results I wanted. E-sports is cruel, and I have to admit that I can no longer be the same as before.
So I plan to return to normal life, just like what I have been sharing with you recently, travel to many places, exercise to restore my body, eat and chat with friends I have grown up with, and do what I want to do!
It has been almost eight years since I started playing professionally in 2017. Looking back on this journey, it is like a dream. I have met many good friends and have many people who like me. I have had ups and downs, but these are all wonderful experiences and will be my precious memories in the future!!!
Goodbye, everyone~"
Yi Zheng, 25, plays as a roamer and has represented JC Team (predecessor of Shenzhen DYG) in the KPL since 2017. While playing for Shenzhen DYG, he won the 2020 KPL Autumn Championship with the team and transferred to Wuhan eStarPro in 2021.
As an important member of the "Yitanzironghua" five-man team, Yi Zheng has won the 2021 KPL Autumn Championship, the 2021 King of Glory Challenger Cup, the 2022 KPL Spring Championship, the 2022 King of Glory Challenger Cup and the 2022 King of Glory World Championship Cup for Wuhan eStarPro. However, his state has gradually declined in recent years, and it is difficult to replicate his peak performance.
