BLAST announced on its official website on Wednesday that the world's most anticipated Counter Strike 2 (CS2) event, BLAST Premier Rivals Season 2, will be held in Hong Kong in November 2025.
According to BLAST's official statement, BLAST Premier Rivals Season 2 will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from November 14 to 16, but the closed qualifiers will start on November 12.
This is the first time that Hong Kong has hosted such a large-scale international e-sports competition, and the competition has also received strong support from the Hong Kong (SAR) Government of China.
In order to certify BLAST Premier Rivals Season 2, the Hong Kong (SAR) Government's Major Sports Events Committee also specially awarded the event with an 'M' rating, symbolizing how much attention the authorities have paid to this event which was held by BLAST.
As part of the revamped BLAST Premier global tournament system in 2025, this Counter Strike 2 (CS2) event will bring together eight of the world's top teams, including the four best teams from the Valve regional rankings, and four teams from Europe, North America, South America and Asia, ensuring global representation.
Participating teams will compete for a total prize pool of US$1 million and entry fees. The event will be broadcast in more than 100 territories in more than 30 languages, and millions of viewers around the world will watch the competition, further consolidating Hong Kong's key position in the global esports industry.
