Cloud9 (C9) CEO denies rumours claiming that the club would return to the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) e-sports circle by acquiring Navi Junior..

Jack Etienne, co-founder and CEO of American e-sports powerhouse Cloud9 (C9), has denied rumours claiming that the club would return to the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) e-sports circle by acquiring Navi Junior on Wednesday through the club's official Reddit discussion area.

Etienne denied the rumours in the comment section of a post posted by the club's fans and apologized for disappointing the fans who were excited.

Subsequently, foreign media outlet Esports Insider contacted Etienne privately, and the latter responded that C9 has not decided to leave the Counter Strike 2 e-sports circle permanently, but the timing is right not yet, hence all rumours which claimed that the club will return by acquiring other teams are incorrect.

Currently, C9 will still focus on achieving good results in the Rainbow Six: Siege, Call of Duty and Valorant e-sports circles.

Recently, French Internet celebrity KRL said through his personal official X (Twitter) that C9 will return to the CS2 e-sports circle with a new look.

He claimed that due to the recent outstanding performance of NAVI Junior, this has aroused C9's desire to acquire it as their new CS2 team.

KRL also added alleged that NAVI has agreed to C9's offer, and the entire NAVI Junior lineup will compete as a C9 team after the summer season.

Cloud9 (C9) announced its withdrawal from the CS2 e-sports circle in the winter of 2024, but will not give up looking for a new opportunity to return.

In the past 11 years, the team has won many major tournaments in the CS:GO e-sports circle, including the ELEAGUE Boston Major, the Intel Extreme Masters Season 17 Dallas, and the DreamHack Open Denver.
