Brazilian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club FURIA announced on Friday through its official Twitter account that the ownership of on-loan former Virtus.pro Entry Fragger YEKINDAR has been bought out.
According to FURIA's official statement, YEKINDAR has signed on a two-year contract with the club which runs until the summer of 2027.
About YEKINDAR
YEKINDAR, 25, was born in Latvia on October 4, 1999. He also became a professional CS e-sports player in 2017, mainly playing as a Rifler and a Entry Fragger.
YEKINDAR joined Virtus.pro (VP) in 2020.
During his two-year spell at VP, YEKINDAR won Flashpoint Season 2, DreamHack Open December 2020, and CS Summit Season 7 with the team.
In October 2022, YEKINDAR joined Liquid.
During his near two-and-a-half-year spell with Liquid, YEKINDAR helped the team win the runner-up in the ESL Pro League Season 16 and the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, and reached the quarterfinals of the 2023 BLAST Paris Major.
In April this year, YEKINDAR joined FURIA on-loan, replacing the benched rifler skullz.
During his two-month loan spell, YEKINDAR played brilliantly, averaging 1.26 rating in the PGL Astana and BLAST Austin Major, becoming a major contributor to FURIA's successful entry into the knockout stage, and also achieved his best individual results in recent years.
