NAVI rifler jL announce he will temporarily leave and take a break due to mental health issues..


Veteran Ukrainian e-sports NAVI powerhouse, announced on its official website on Thursday that its Counter Strike 2 (CS2) team's rifler jL will temporarily leave and take a break due to poor mental health.


According to NAVI's official statement, just as the club was planning to make changes to strengthen the team's CS2 main roster, jL suddenly informed the club that he had to temporarily take a break due to his worsening mental health.


For the sake of jL's mental health, NAVI immediately agreed to the player's request to temporarily take a break so that he could calm down and seek help. Therefore, jL will be temporarily benched until he decides to return.


NAVI described jL as one of the most charismatic and serious people in the team's history. He is frank, sincere, open-minded, and full of energy, and can infect everyone around him who works with him.


Everyone in the club is very grateful for jL's efforts and achievements for the team, and will give him support, wish him have a good rest and enough private space to restore his inner peace to balance.


Following jL's insistence, the vacancy after his temporary departure will be replaced by Makazze, who was recently promoted from NAVI Junior to the main roster.


About jL


The 25-year-old jL was born in Lithuania on September 25, 1999. He has been a professional Counter Strike e-sports player since 2018, playing as a rifler.


jL played for FiGURE05, TimeChasers, zdarova, AllTheRage, AllStarLineup, Elites and Baclerbi in his early years.


In September 2020, jL joined selectah! and moved to MAD LIONS in March of the following year.


During his time with MAD LIONS, jL won the REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 with the team.


In August 2022, jL joined Apeks.


In June of the following year, jL joined NAVI.


Since becoming a member of NAVI, jL has won the PGL Major Copenhagen, Esport World Cup 2024, ESL Pro League and Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio with the team, and was selected as HLTV's Closer of the Year in 2024.
