Official: Wuhan eStarPro head coach Wu Wang officially leaves the team, and his position is taken over by Wu Ming

The Wuhan eStarPro team announced on Wednesday that former coach Li Siyuan (ID: Wuwang) has officially left the team.

Wu Wang initially served as an assistant coach for Xiamen VG, Chengdu AG Super Play Club and other teams, and then coached TCG and Shanghai EDG.M. He led TCG to win the 2023 K League Spring Championship, and replaced Song Jize (ID: SK) as the head coach of Wuhan eStarPro in May this year.

Wuhan eStarPro did not explain Wuwang's departure. They only wrote in the announcement: "We met in the summer. Coach Wuwang led the young team and took steps to create their own game. The road of companionship is not only the joy of victory. In the face of difficulties, he can also support everyone with his meticulousness and gentleness and guide them.

Two months is not a long time. We have not had time to write the next chapter of our story, but we have to say goodbye. Thank you for your efforts. We have gained a lot from our short time together. I sincerely hope that after we part, we can both embrace a brighter future. "

As for Wuwang's successor, Wuhan eStarPro had already made clear arrangements. On the day Wuwang left the team, they appointed Zhang Cong (ID: Wuming) as the head coach of the first team, and explained in an announcement: "Since Wuming joined the Wuhan eStarPro training team, he has always been a reliable backing, watching the game and understanding the situation. In terms of lineup selection, he can win steadily and also defeat the enemy by surprise. The overall view and arrangement understanding accumulated since the player period are still his best link after the change of identity, which brings many benefits to the team.

I believe that with trust and understanding of the players as the cornerstone, Coach Wuming will be able to rally the team in difficult times and help them get out of the darkness and embrace the light together.”

Wuming, 27, used to play as a roamer in Wuhan eStarPro, during which time he won the 2019 KPL Spring Championship, the 2019 King of Glory World Championship Cup, the 2019 KPL Autumn Championship, the 2019 King of Glory Winter Championship Cup, the 2020 Spring Championship and the 2020 King of Glory World Championship Cup. He began to transform into a coach in May this year, accumulating competition training and tactical experience in Shenzhen Baoan KLG and Wuhan eStarPro.
