Ukrainian Counter Strike 2 club Monte announced on Sunday through its official X (Twitter) account that the club has signed riflers Bymas and AZUWU, who will form the team's new starting lineup with retained member afro.
According to Monte's official statement, all three of them will become the team's new starting lineup members with three other core members, including In-Game Leader Gizmy, rifler ryu and coach Aiyvan.
AZUWU has already made his debut with the team in the CCT Season 3 Europe Series 3 a few days ago.
With the addition of Bymas and AZUWU, it means that Monte's turbulent 12-month member changes have temporarily come to an end.
About afro
afro, 26, was born in France on June 11, 1999. In 2017, he became a professional Counter Strike e-sports player as a AWP-er.
afro played for Mistral, Reflex, APOLOGIS and FiveG in his early years. In June 2020, he joined LDLC, and won the 2020 ESL Championnat National Winter.
The following year, afro moved to The Dice and Double Poney.
In 2022, afro joined HEET, during which he won the Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5, the 2022 Elisa Spring, and the of the ESL Challenger League Season 40 Europe.
In January of the following year, afro returned to LDLC, but joined Fnatic in July of the same year.
During his time with Fnatic, afro won the RES European Series twice with the team, but was benched in September 2024.
After parting ways with Fnatic, afro played for Persona Grata and Mercenaires, and joined Monte as a substitute in April this year.
Since joining the team, afro has performed consistently, averaging 1.13 Rating per game and successfully helping the team reach the quarterfinals of YaLLa Compass Contenders.
About AZUWU
AZUWU, who is only 21 years old, was born in the UK on November 5, 2003. In 2021, he became a professional Counter Strike e-sports player playing as a rifler.
AZUWU played for Disconnect, Recognized Talent, AceFive, AVA, Heaven and Hell and 1PIN in his early years.
In January 2023, AZUWU became famous for helping Coalesce win the of EPIC.LAN 38.
In July of the same year, he moved to Endpoint.
During his one-and-a-half-year spell with Endpoint, AZUWU won the runner-up in the 2023 ESL Pro League Autumn and the HellCup Series 10.
In February this year, AZUWU joined SAW, but the team's overall performance was not good, as they were eliminated in the early stages of the Intel Extreme Masters Melbourne and the ESL Pro League Season 21.
About Bymas
Bymas, who is only 21 years old, was born in Lithuania on August 12, 2003. In 2020, he became a professional Counter Strike e-sports player playing as a rifler.
Bymas played for Demolition Crew in his early years. In May 2020, he joined FaZe Clan as a substitute. During this spell he reached the semi-finals of the 2020 BLAST Premier European Spring Finals with the latter.
In August of the same year, Bymas switched to MOUZ.
During his two-and-a-half-year spell with MOUZ, Bymas won Flashpoint Season 3 and Snow Sweet Snow Series 3 with the team, and also won the runner-up in the 2020 BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, Esports Tour Dubai and 2020 DreamHack Masters Winter Europe.
In July 2023, Bymas joined Into The Breach (ITB).
During this spell, he won the CCT Season 1 Eastern Europe Series 4 with the team. However, due to the club's CEO, Sam Cook (STM) embezzling funds and betraying the team, the organization eventually faced a complete dissolution. Since then, Bymas has been idle.
