BLAST Slam IV Singapore is about to begin and the invited lineup has been announced.

The top Dota 2 event, BLAST Slam IV, will kick off in Singapore on October 28th. The event organizers have officially announced the list of invited teams.

Twelve world-class teams will compete for the $1 million (£737,000) championship trophy and the ultimate prize. Of the 12 teams, seven will qualify for the main tournament via direct invitation.

The seven teams include Team Liquid, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, local hero Talon, and Americas representative HEROIC.

The remaining five spots will be determined through closed qualifiers. It's worth noting that Team Spirit, fresh off their Esports World Cup victory, is in top form, while Tundra Esports, despite winning Slam III, has seen some recent fluctuations in form, but remains a strong contender for the title.

The tournament is officially supported by the Singapore Tourism Board and organized in partnership with AED Presents Asia. The group stage will begin on October 8th, with 12 teams competing in a single round-robin format.

The top two teams in each group will advance directly to the semifinals, while teams placed 3rd to 8th will enter the play-offs. The remaining teams will then enter the last-chance knockout round. On November 2, the winner of the last-chance knockout round will advance to the play-offs for a spot in the quarterfinals.

The playoffs will begin on November 7th, adopting a single-elimination format, and the champion will be determined on November 9th. The entire competition will be broadcast globally on the official BLAST Slam Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels, allowing viewers to witness the exciting showdown at the Singapore Indoor Stadium firsthand.
