MIBR adjusts its Counter-Strike 2 roster, with Saffee benched

Brazilian esports club MIBR announced that it will remove sniper Saffee from the starting lineup of Counter-Strike 2.

This is the team's second roster change since the offseason following the BLAST.tv Austin Major, showing the organization's efforts to get out of trouble.

Saffee joined MIBR in June 2023 after having previously played for Brazilian powerhouse FURIA, where he built a strong record over the past year and a half. After joining MIBR, he helped the team win the ESL Challenger Melbourne and RES Latin America Series titles, and also reached the semi-finals of the ESL Pro League Season 20.

Despite solid performances in 2024 and early 2025, MIBR struggled after the introduction of nicks last July. The team's 12th-place finish at FISSURE Playground 1, along with early exits at IEM Cologne and BLAST Bounty Season 2, ultimately precipitated the change.

Currently, MIBR is actively looking for new players to secure their place in the top 32 of the Valve Regional Rankings (VRS). As for Saffee's future, he has not yet revealed whether he will leave the team to seek new opportunities or remain with MIBR.

MIBR will be competing in several tier-two tournaments in September and October. On September 8th, the team will compete in ESL Challenger League Cup #2, and on September 27th, they will compete in the FERJEE Rush 2025 offline tournament, facing several strong Brazilian teams.

In October, MIBR will also be invited to participate in the Counter-Strike Asia Championship. As for who will replace Saffee in the starting lineup, it has not yet been determined.
