Xtreme and Tidebound win three games in a row to lead the TI 2025 group stage

On the second day of the group stage of The International 2025 (TI), the Chinese team demonstrated its long-lost dominance.

The three participating Chinese teams, namely Xtreme Gaming, Team Tidebound and Yakutou Brothers, all won key victories, announcing the full recovery of the Chinese region.

Xtreme Gaming first faced Western European powerhouse Team Falcons in a thrilling three-game match that lasted over three hours. Although Falcons took the lead, Xtreme equalized the score in a 78-minute second game and then fought back in the deciding game, ultimately winning 2-1 and securing their third consecutive victory in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Team Tidebound defeated Eastern European favorites PARIVISION. Despite being undefeated in the first two rounds of the group stage, PARIVISION proved powerless against Tidebound, suffering a crushing defeat in two consecutive games, losing 0-2 in just 87 minutes.

With this victory, Tidebound also achieved a perfect three-game winning streak, tying with Xtreme at the top of the standings. Next, the two teams will face off for a spot in the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, the Yakutou Brothers also put in a strong performance for the Chinese region. Having temporarily replaced Gaimin Gladiators before the start of the tournament, they lost their opening match to Aurora Gaming, but they quickly recovered and defeated Nigma Galaxy 2-1 in the third round, securing their spot in the knockout stage.

The three Chinese teams' sweeping victories on day two of the group stage not only gave them an advantage in the standings but also injected new confidence into the Chinese Dota 2 scene. After years of dormancy, Chinese teams finally showed their long-awaited dominance on the biggest stage of The International.
