Counter Strike 2: CCT officially banned Kazakh Counter Strike 2 teams — THE, Y5, and KHAN for cheating..

CCT announced Thursday via its official X (Twitter) account that three Kazakh Counter Strike 2 teams — THE, Y5, and KHAN, had been banned for cheating.

According to CCT's official statement, tournament administrators discovered suspected cheating of THE player 1drezz during THE's match against 1 WIN at CCT Season 3 European Series 8 and reported the incident to the authorities for investigation.

After investigation, the "Integrity Cam" revealed that 1drezz was not controlling his computer during the match, resulting in a discrepancy between the camera feed and the image displayed on his computer.

Later, Akros anti-cheat software revealed that the person controlling 1drezz's computer was likely Delta player dune, with whom he shared an account.

In addition, Akros anti-cheat software detected a total of six players cheating at CCT Season 3 European Series 8.

Due to the tournament's zero-tolerance policy for cheating, these six players have been issued various suspensions effective immediately.

1drezz, dune, as well as dosikk, tEO, d0RREN, singulier, and R3LiFwOw, will all receive two-year ban.

Other active players from THE, Y5, and KHAN will receive six-month ban.

If these players and teams engage in further cheating during their suspensions, their bans could be extended, with the worst-case scenario being a lifetime ban.

Although the CCT did not specifically identify the Y5 and KHAN players involved in the cheating in its official statement, authorities confirmed that a full list will be released via HLTV in the near future.

During their suspensions, these players and teams are prohibited from participating in any CCT events.

It is worth noting that this scandal will undoubtedly exacerbate the stereotype and prejudice that some people have of Kazakh players loves cheating in the Counter Strike 2 professional esports community.
