French League of Legends powerhouse Karmine Corp (KC) announced on Saturday through its official X (Twitter) account that the club has renewed the contract of its top laner Canna.
According to Karmine Corp (KC)'s official statement, Canna has signed on a new two-year contract which runs until November 2027.
In addition, according to foreign media outlet Sheep Esports, prior to this, Canna had received multiple offers to return to the LCK.
He also received offers from several LCS teams, but ultimately decided to renew his contract with KC.
KC reportedly offered Canna the highest salary in LEC history to retain him.
Canna will become the third player on the KC team to successfully renew his contract.
Prior to this, jungler Yike and bottom laner Caliste also renewed their contracts with KC.
About Canna
Canna, 25, whose real name is Kim Chang-dong, was born on February 11, 2000, in Andong City, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. He became a professional League of Legends esports player in 2019, playing as a top laner.
Canna began his professional career with LCK powerhouse T1.
During his time with T1, he won the LCK Spring once and the LCK Regional Finals once, and finished in the top 8 at the 2020 Mid-Season Cup and in the top 4 at the 2021 World Championship.
In November 2021, Canna was traded to Nongshim Red Force (NS), a move that left him dissatisfied.
He finished 8th with the team in both the 2022 LCK Spring and Summer Splits.
In November 2022, Canna joined Dplus.
He also finished in the top 9-11 at the 2023 World Championship.
Last May, Canna ventured overseas to join KC.
Since joining KC, Canna has helped the team win the 2025 LEC Winter and take second place at the 2025 First Stand Tournament.
