Canadian Counter Strike 2 esports club Gaimin Gladiators (GG) announced on Monday via their official X (Twitter) account that they have signed former SK Gaming ace rifler felps from Red Candis.
According to GG's official statement, felps will replace his compatriot b4rtiN, who recently left the team.
His transfer to GG also means felps will end a six-month hiatus following him being benched by Red Candis.
About felps
The 28-year-old felps was born on December 16, 1996, in Brazil and plays as a rifler.
felps has been a professional Counter Strike esports player since 2011. Early in his career, he played for teams such as semXorah, Dexterity, Dai Dai Gaming, Keyd Stars, g3nerationX, and Games Academy, quickly becoming one of the most promising new stars in the Brazilian CS esports scene.
In February 2016, felps joined Tempo Storm, where he won the CEVO Pro League Season 9 championship.
Four months later, felps moved to Immortals. During his time there, he won the 2016 DreamHack Open Summer and Northern Arena Toronto, and was named MVP of the former by HLTV.
In February 2017, felps joined SK Gaming.
During his 1 year and 8 month stint with this German esports powerhouse, felps won the CS_Summit 1, Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 12 Sydney, the 2017 DreamHack Open Summer, ESL One Cologne, and the Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 3 Finals, and was named one of the most promising breakout players of 2017 by fer and coldzera.
In 2018, felps played for Não Tem Como, NoTag, and INTZ.
The following January, felps joined mibr.
During this spell, he helped the team achieve a top-four finish at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 13 Katowice Major.
From June 2019 to July 2023, felps played for Luminosity, Team oNe, BOOM, and fluxo.
Although he didn't win any major tournaments with his teams, his outstanding individual performances earned him the 2020 Best Brazilian CS Player of the Year from DRAFT5.
After leaving fluxo, felps joined Imperial.
During his year-and-a-half spell with Imperial, felps participated in several major tournaments. While he didn't win any titles, his consistent individual performances once again earned him the 2024 Best Brazilian CS Player of the Year from DRAFT5.
In January of this year, felps joined Red Candis. However, after playing for the team for three months, he was benched in April after failing to break the team's consistent run of elimination in the quarterfinals.
Following that, felps experienced a six-month hiatus. His most recent competition was representing a Brazilian team called UnderDogs in CCT Season 3 Americas 5, where they only managed a top-16 finish.
