Making grand promises for the new season, but limited-time gameplay is unpopular, and the five-way peak tournament is being complained about? (Part Two)

The intention behind limited-time gameplay was supposed to add fun and replayability to ranked matches. The Moon Corridor was indeed a limited-time feature, and thankfully it was just a trial run. However, the reaction was negative. Many people entered the illusion without understanding the rules, only to find themselves in a predicament where one player was surrounded and killed by five others. Players felt that new elements should be placed in the entertainment mode, not randomly inserted into ranked matches, as it negatively impacted the experience. While true competition ultimately lies in the peak matches, many players still prefer ranked matches, even if they aren't considered as prestigious.
The promise made years ago included an ultra-high field of view, but after several versions, this feature is nowhere to be seen. It was tested on the test server for a while, but it may not have been up to par, so it was eventually abandoned. On the bright side, it's a pity that it wasn't released, but no one said they would cancel the plan outright. Maybe Season 42 will bring a surprise. Right now, if you want to enjoy a wide field of view, it's estimated that only Nuwa and Gan Jiang Mo Xie are the two mages.
Five-way Peak Tournament
The pre-selection of lanes led to a surge in the peak ranking matches, leaving top players stunned. The early implementation of ranked matches was intended to ensure players could play their preferred heroes and roles, thus guaranteeing a better gaming experience. Ranked matches already include solo and team queues; this feature meant players could easily secure their preferred heroes without needing to play with familiar teammates or communicate with strangers. However, the introduction of this mechanism in the peak ranking matches is baffling. While it's touted as a way to find your preferred hero and climb the ranks strategically, the results and rankings are confused, and no one understands the overall operating principle. The points painstakingly accumulated are now only allocated to a single lane; what happens to other roles players don't know how to play? Players flooded the developers' livestream with complaints, demanding a revert to the original five-lane peak ranking system. While the developers' response was somewhat agreeable, there was no clear answer, suggesting a possible reversal in the new season.
Hero Pancake
Besides the competitive mechanics, the adjustments to the heroes in the test server have not been fully implemented in the official server. For example, Tanji has been transformed into a fox demon form, Zhou Yu's network-like fire, Liu Chan's human-machine separation, and the Dream Monster family. The project was spread all over the place at the time, but there was no follow-up after it was exposed. There are still many things that were said but not done. How the ecosystem will change in the new season remains to be seen and will be announced by the planners.
