Atlanta United announced on its official website on Friday that Newcastle United's Paraguay international attacking midfielder Miguel Almiron has returned to the club.
According to Atlanta United's official statement, Almiron has signed on a three-year contract with the club which runs until the winter of 2028. He will play in the No. 10 jersey again and be registered as a Designated Player (DP).
In addition, according to the news brought by American media outlet CBS Sports' resident renowned transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, the Major League Soccer (MLS) club paid a total of £8 million to the Magpies to sign Almiron.
After completing his joining procedures, Almiron, who was interviewed by Atlanta United's official website again, said: "People's love is very important to me. I have deep feelings for them, and it is always special to play in such a great stadium again. It's also a good thing that people like this kind of game."

About Miguel Almiron
Almiron, 30 years old, was born on February 10, 1994 in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. He is 1.74 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder. He can also play as a left winger or a right winger.
Almiron joined Paraguayan local powerhouse Cerro Porteño's youth academy since he was a child, and completed his Cerro Porteño first-team debut in a Copa Sudamericana match in August 2014.
During his two-and-a-half-year spell at Cerro Porteño, Almiron won the Paraguayan Primera División twice with the club.
In August 2015, Almiron joined Lanus for $750,000.
During his time at Lanus, Almiron won the Argentine Primera Division and the Copa Bicentenario with the club.
In December of the following year, Almiron joined Atlanta United for $8 million.
During his three-year spell with the Five Stripes, Almiron won the MLS Cup once with the club, and unexpectedly became one of the must-sign players in the famous football game FIFA series with his high potential value in the career mode and became an instant hit.
On the 2019 winter transfer window deadline day, Almiron became the most expensive player in the history of MLS with a £24 million to Newcastle United.
During his five-year spell with the Magpies, Almiron played 223 times for the new Premier League giants in all competitions, scored 30 goals, assisted 12 times, and reached the Carabao Cup final once with the club.
