League of Legends: Weibo Gaming (WBG) officially announce the signing of former EDWard Gaming (EDG) ace jungler Jiejie and LNG top laner Zika..

Weibo Gaming (WBG) announced on its official Weibo account on Thursday that the club has signed former EDWard Gaming (EDG) ace jungler Zhao Lijie (ID: Jiejie) and Suzhou LNG top laner Tang Huayu (ID: Zika).

According to WBG's official statement, both players will immediately join the team's starting roster and compete for WBG in the 2026 League of Legends season.

Meanwhile, the team has also made changes to its coaching staff.

Its two Korean coaches, Kim Jeong-soo (ID: KIM) and Shin Dong-wook (ID: Shine), will become WBG's new team supervisor and head coach, respectively.

KIM will be returning to a Chinese team after a four-year hiatus. His last coaching stint in the Chinese esports scene was as head coach of Hangzhou Bilibili Gaming (BLG) in 2021.

For the past two years, KIM has served as head coach of LCK powerhouse Gen.G.

During this spell, he helped the team win the League of Legends World Championship Finals once and thee Mid-Season Invitational once.

Shin Dong-wook (ID: Shine) served as the coach of Hanhwa Life Esports (HLE) last year.

With his help, Hanhwa Life Esports (HLE) won the First Stand Tournament in March of this year.

Their two compatriots, fly and NoFe, will leave WBG after coaching for two and one years respectively.

Jiejie, who previously played for EDWard Gaming (EDG), won both the LPL and World Championship Finals in 2021.

At the beginning of this year, Jiejie transferred to iG and performed well, but after helping the team achieve third place in Split 2, he was replaced by Yan Yangwei (ID: Wei) before the start of the Summer Split.

Afterwards, he transferred to Fun Plus Phoenix (FPX) but his performance was unsatisfactory.

Zika, who previously played for Invictus Gaming (iG) like Jiejie, transferred to LNG in 2022.

During his three-year spell with LNG, although he didn't win any major championships with the team, Zika was still selected to the LPL Summer All-Pro Second Team once for his outstanding performances.
