Shenzhen NIP's League of Legends division announced on Wednesday that former FPX player Yang Jie (ID: Care) has officially joined the team. He is expected to replace Kim Tae-sang (ID: Doinb) as the starting mid laner, with the latter having officially left the team five days prior.
Care, 21, joined FPX's second team FPB in January 2021, thus embarking on his professional career. He won the runner-up title in the LDL Spring Split with the team in 2021, and was promoted to FPX's main team in March of the following year, replacing Kim Tae-woo (ID: Gori) in the starting lineup.
Regarding Care's arrival, Shenzhen NIP stated in their announcement: "After friendly negotiations, we are pleased to announce that mid-laner Yang Jie (ID: Care) has reached an agreement with Shenzhen NIP Esports Club to officially join the team and embark on the new season together."
