Inter Miami beat Deportivo San Miguelito 3-1

Javier Mascherano led Inter Miami to a comfortable 3-1 win over Panamanian side Deportivo San Miguelito. Despite having a clear advantage in possession in the early stages, Inter Miami did not really take control until the second half of the game.

Messi and Suarez showed their old tacit understanding. Messi cooperated with Suarez after a wonderful breakthrough, but his shot was bravely saved by the opponent's goalkeeper.

Sporting San Miguelito seized the limited opportunities and broke the deadlock in the 24th minute with a quick counterattack, with Adam Hendrix pushing the ball into the goal.

Miami Inter equalized the score before the end of the first half. Messi first got rid of the defense and then passed the ball to Marcelo Weigante, who made an accurate cross and Benjamin Kremaschi at the far post easily sent the ball into the empty goal, 1-1!

In the second half, Miami International stepped up its offensive. In the 52nd minute, Suarez assisted Taddio Allende with a low shot to help the team overtake the score. Fafa Picault then added the icing on the cake to seal the victory.

Although Messi was still active in this game, it was Suarez who really stood out. The Uruguayan striker showed excellent flexibility and tenacity despite his age. He was active in the frontcourt, contributed a wonderful assist for the second goal, and even nearly scored. Miami International has been controversial for renewing his contract, but if Suarez can maintain this performance, this decision may be the right one.

The team's pre-season tour of Central America continues, with the next game being against Olimpia, before returning to Florida to face Orlando City in the final pre-season game.
