Galatasaray officially announced that the 32-year-old Spanish center forward Alvaro Morata has joined on loan from AC Milan. His lease at Galatasaray ends in January 2026, and he will wear the No. 77 jersey.

According to the announcement, Morata's loan fee is 6 million euros, payable in two installments. Galatasaray can choose to buy out Morata for 8 million euros before January 15, 2026, payable in six installments. If the buyout clause is not triggered, the club can pay 3 million euros to extend the lease to June 2026 and buy out Morata for 9 million euros before then.

After completing the transfer, Morata said: "I am very shocked. I had seen some videos of Galatasaray fans before coming here and couldn't wait to meet them. I am very happy and thank everyone who came to welcome me. I will do my best while wearing the Galatasaray jersey."

"I'm very happy to be here because Galatasaray is a great club. I hope we can achieve all our goals in the league, cup and Europe. I can't wait to meet my teammates and help them."

"I have spoken to the coach and received messages from several teammates. I want to get to know them as soon as possible and experience the atmosphere of the stadium in person. I promise to give my best on the field and fight for the jersey."

Morata studied in the youth training of Atletico Madrid, Getafe and Real Madrid, and made his debut for Real Madrid's first team in La Liga on December 12, 2010. He then moved to Juventus, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, making 506 appearances, scoring 172 goals and providing 70 assists, winning 2 Champions League titles, 1 Club World Cup title, 2 La Liga titles, 1 European Super Cup title, 2 King's Cup titles, 2 Serie A titles, 3 Italian Cup titles, 1 Italian Super Cup title, 1 Europa League title and 1 FA Cup title.

In July 2024, Morata joined AC Milan from Atletico Madrid for 13 million euros. So far, he has made 25 appearances for AC Milan, contributed 6 goals and 2 assists, and won an Italian Super Cup with the team.
