Counter Strike 2: Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) officially disband women's division team, NIP Impact..

Swedish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) announced on Tuesday via their official X (Twitter) account that they are immediately disbanding their women's division team, NIP Impact.

According to NIP's official statement, this move is closely related to ESL's decision to discontinue its women's league, ESL IMPACT.

NIP wrote: "Today, after three wonderful years, we have to say goodbye to our Counter Strike 2 (CS2) division team, Impact."

"We joined ESL IMPACT in 2022, determined to support the burgeoning women's CS scene. Despite several roster changes during this time, we ultimately grew into one of the most competitive teams globally, reaching the finals for two consecutive seasons after a successful debut."

"We are proud of the progress we have made and the mark we have left. Making this decision was not easy, but unfortunately, given the uncertainty surrounding our long-term sustainability and continued competitive opportunities until 2026, we ultimately have to make this decision."

"We sincerely wish Qiyah, Nayomy, aiM, vilga, Zana, and head coach tenzki all the best in their future endeavors."

"We sincerely thank them for their professionalism and hard work in the face of uncertainty over the past few months, and also thank all the fans for their unwavering support."

"Whatever the future holds, this experience will be an integral part of our history, and we sincerely hope it doesn't end here."

Regarding the team's disbandment, rifler Qiyarah said through her official X account: "Going forward, my focus will be on the hybrid esports arena, through the youth team and any opportunities that give me the chance to pursue my goals at a high level. It's an unknown road, without guarantees, but I know I must continue; this is the direction I've always strived for."

NIP established their women's division team NIP Impact, in 2022 and competed in the ESL IMPACT Women's League.

In its early days, the team, primarily composed of players from Nordic countries, immediately made a splash, achieving second place at the Gothenburg Women's Esports Open.

In the final ESL IMPACT finals held in Stockholm, NIP Impact reached the semifinals but were ultimately defeated by the eventual champions, BIG EQUIPA.

NIP Impact's final roster:

Rifler: Nayomy

Rifler: Qiyarah

Rifler: aiM

In-Game Leader/Entry Fragger: vilga

Head Coach: tenzki
