American esports powerhouse 100 Thieves announced on Saturday via their official X (Twitter) account that former Astralis ace In-Game Leader gla1ve has officially joined their Counter Strike 2 team as head coach.
According to 100 Thieves' official statement, the club warmly welcomes gla1ve and looks forward to him leading the team, which has just returned to the CS2 esports scene, to a strong start.
Notably, this will be gla1ve's first time serving as head coach. The renowned Danish player announced his retirement several weeks ago, stating he would be exploring coaching opportunities.
Shortly after, HLTV reported that he might join 100 Thieves, and this report has now come true.
Regarding his feelings about joining 100 Thieves, gla1ve expressed through Dust 2 that he is excited about the opportunity to share his extensive experience as a player with other players and help them and the team achieve new successes.
gla1ve is the second player 100 Thieves has signed within a month.
On November 14th, 100 Thieves also officially announced the signing of former FaZe ace In-Game Leader and entry fragger, rain.

About gla1ve
The 30-year-old gla1ve was born on June 7, 1995, in Denmark. He became a professional Counter Strike 2 esports player in 2010, serving as an In-Game Leader.
During his 15-year professional esports playing career, gla1ve played for several CS teams, including CPH Wolves, Anexis, Western Wolves, 3DMAX, CPLAY, X, and HEROIC. However, the peak of his career was undoubtedly during his time with Astralis.
As a member of Astralis, gla1ve won almost every major tournament between 2016 and December 2019.
