Enzo Maresca: We fully deserved this victory

Chelsea came from behind to beat West Ham United 2-1 at home, and manager Enzo Maresca believes they thoroughly deserved the win.

In the first half of the game, West Ham United scored a goal and took the lead. However, in the second half, a goal from substitute Pedro Neto and an own goal from Aaron Wan-Bissaka helped Chelsea win.

In the post-match interview, Maresca said: "The most important thing is the performance of the game. We fully deserve this victory. I am very happy, especially because tonight's game was the most difficult on a psychological level."

"In the current situation, a lot of teams come here and choose to defend and wait for us to make mistakes. If we don't have space to attack, we have to be patient."

"In the first half, we were always attacking in the opponent's half, but all the opponent's players were defending in the backcourt. Their tactics were to frustrate us, so we needed to be strong enough mentally."

"Despite this, we still created four or five great chances in the first half, but unfortunately we failed to score and lost the ball due to mistakes. This is why I said that the team must maintain mental toughness."

"I told the players at half-time not to change anything and to continue playing as planned because they couldn't defend for 95 minutes, it was impossible, they just kept chasing the ball.

"In the second half, we found some space and the substitutes played really well. So I'm very happy with the result of this game."

Chelsea currently has 43 points in the Premier League and is ranked fourth in the standings. Chelsea's next Premier League game will be on February 15, away to Brighton.
