Daniel Falk calls for Leeds United to strive for more points while maintaining a humble attitude.

Newly promoted Leeds United will travel to Sunderland for their 18th Premier League match of the 2025/26 season. Manager Daniel Falk has stated that his team must remain humble and continue to strive for more points.

After Dominic Calvert-Lewin's brace, along with goals from Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stahtah, Leeds United secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace in their last Premier League match. With two wins, two draws, and two losses in their last five games, Leeds United currently sit 16th in the table with 19 points, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Leeds United manager Daniel Falk said, "The feeling of victory after a game is irreplaceable, as is the feeling of being in good form and achieving good results. It's not just the players, but also the coaching staff and the whole club. Of course, it's a great time for everyone at Leeds United."

In addition, Sunderland, considered a dark horse, drew 0-0 with Brighton in the last round and are currently ranked 7th in the standings with 27 points.

Speaking about their opponents Sunderland, Daniel Falk said, "Their performance has been outstanding, but I'm not surprised. We've discussed how difficult it is for newly promoted teams to establish themselves in this league and fight for survival. But in that respect, their current points total is already at a very high level."
