The midfielder was part of Chelsea's starting lineup in yesterday's Premier League match against Aston Villa at home, the team's penultimate game before the end of 2025.  

Chelsea dominated the match, consistently pressuring the away team, who had won ten consecutive matches in all competitions, for nearly an hour, and took the lead in the first half with a goal from João Pedro following a corner kick by Reece James. However, Chelsea failed to convert their dominance into points, and Aston Villa launched a counter-attack, scoring two goals within 20 minutes to ultimately secure a 2-1 comeback victory, leaving Chelsea with only regret and reflection on the defeat.  

After the match, Moises Caicedo said: "This loss is very painful because we controlled the game for most of the time. We played very well in the first half and started the second half well as well. Even after the opponent pulled one back, we still had a chance to win the game."
