British e-sports team ENDPOINT officially disbands ts Counter Strike 2 (CS2) division..

British e-sports team ENDPOINT announced on Tuesday through its official Twitter account that the team has decided to disband its Counter Strike 2 (CS2) division from today.

According to ENDPOINT's official statement, all members of its CS2 roster will be benched from today, and all members can also transfer to other teams without paying buyout clause.

ENDPOINT expressed endless gratitude to all members for their efforts and contributions over the years, and also thanked the fans for their support over the years, and frankly admitted that it was regrettable for this decision. The team would like to wish all members a smooth future and hope to return to the CS2 professional competitive e-sports circle with a new look one day.

Regarding the end of ENDPOINT, HLTV, ESL and others have expressed regret for this decision, and many analysts believe that the end of the team is a big loss to the British CS2 professional competitive e-sports circle.

In fact, since Valve announced that it would implement the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) ranking system from 2024, many people have begun to speculate that this will seriously affect the prospects of small and medium-sized teams that are not backed by sponsors with huge financial resources, and now this has indeed verified the concerns of netizens about ENDPOINT.

Under the VRS ranking system, usually only invited teams are eligible to participate in events using this ranking system, which makes it difficult for small and medium-sized teams with low rankings and no sponsors with huge financial resources to compete with strong teams to improve their rankings, thus forming a vicious cycle of the survival of the fittest.

This point eventually became ENDPOINT's official statement that "one of the main reasons that caused its team's goal of continuing to operate to become increasingly distant."

About ENDPOINT

ENDPOINT was founded in 2016 and became active in the Counter Strike professional competitive e-sports circle in September of the same year. It once bred top players such as HeavyGod, sl3nd, and swicher.

The team's final roster before disbanding included MiGHTYMAX, Surreal, AZUWU, CRUC1AL and cej0t.

Over the years, ENDPOINT has won almost all ESL Counter Strike: GO (CS: GO) events from August 2021 to May 2021.

ENDPOINT's last participation was in the European Pro League Season 22 held a few days ago, where they were defeated by GenOne (GO), which became their last participation in a CS2 event.
