The 2026 Dota 2 tournament schedule has been announced, with TI15 leading the esports extravaganza.

With the arrival of 2026, the Dota 2 Pro Tour has been revitalized, and the schedule for the year's Tier 1 tournaments has been largely finalized.

The most anticipated event of the year is undoubtedly The International 15 (TI15). Valve has officially confirmed that this top-tier global tournament will return to Shanghai, China, from August 13th to 23rd, 2026. This marks the return of TI to Shanghai after a seven-year hiatus since 2019.

The world's top teams will gather at the Mercedes-Benz Arena to compete for the Aegis of Champions, the symbol of ultimate honor. With the Chinese team Xtreme Gaming securing second place at TI14 in Hamburg last year, the home crowd's anticipation for TI15 is already at its peak.

Before The International (TI) begins, a series of high-prize, high-level tournaments will run throughout the year. Starting in February, BLAST Slam 6 will kick off in Malta, followed seamlessly by DreamLeague Season 28.

It is worth noting that this year's tour system is showing a trend of "normalized million-dollar prize pools". PGL Wallachia plans to hold three seasons (Seasons 7, 8 and 9) in Bucharest, Romania, with a prize pool of up to $1 million each year.

In addition, ESL One Birmingham will return to the UK in March, bringing a live viewing experience to European fans.

Despite the current official schedule already featuring 11 top-tier tournaments, the industry is still focused on the release date of the Riyadh Masters (eSports World Cup). As the highest-paying single tournament in 2025, it is widely recognized as the most prestigious trophy outside of The International (TI).

For Chinese fans, in addition to looking forward to TI15, which will be held on home soil, the possibility of a second edition of the local tournament Clavision Masters is also a major point of interest.
