Paris Saint-Germain's Spain international winger Marco Asensio joins Aston Villa on-loan..


Aston Villa announced on its official website on Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain's Spain international winger Marco Asensio has joined the club on-loan.


According to Aston Villa's official statement, Asensio will play for the club on-loan until the end of this season, and the loan agreement does not include any buyout clause. At the same time, he will also wear the No. 21 jersey which was vacated after former Netherlands international forward Anwar El-Ghazi had left the club.


After completing his joining procedures, Asensio, who was interviewed the Villan's official website for the first time, said: "I am very happy to join Aston Villa."

About Marco Asensio


Asensio, 29, was born on January 21, 1996 in Mallorca, Spain. He is 1.82 meters tall and primarily plays as a right winger. He can also play as a center forward or attacking midfielder. He has dual Spanish and Dutch nationalities.


At the age of 7, Asensio joined the youth academy of non-league club Platges de Calvià. At the age of 10, he transferred to the youth academy of his hometown club Mallorca, and completed his Mallorca first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in October 2013.


In November of the following year, Asensio moved to Real Madrid for €3.9 million, but was immediately loaned back to Mallorca.


In August 2015, Asensio was loaned-out to Espanyol.


After returning to the club following the end of his loan spekk in the summer of the following year, Asensio officially became a key player in the Real Madrid first-team.


During his nine-year spell with Los Blancos, Asensio won the FIFA Club World Cup 4 times, the La Liga 3 times, the UEFA Champions League 3 times, the UEFA Super Cup 3 times, the Supercopa de España twice and the Copa Del Rey once.


After leaving the club at the end of his contract in the summer of 2023, Asensio joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.


Since becoming a member of Les Parisiens, Asensio has played 47 times for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions, scored 7 goals and assisted 11 times. During which he has won the Trophée des Champions twice, the Ligue 1 once and the Coupe de France once with the club.
