Aurora Gaming disbands its current Dota 2 roster

Southeast Asian team Aurora Gaming announced the disbanding of its current Dota 2 lineup, sparking heated discussions in the e-sports circle.

Since Aurora Gaming successfully advanced to DreamLeague S25 and also received a direct invitation to PGL Wallachia S3, this decision to disband the lineup came as a surprise and confusion to many Dota 2 fans.

Aurora Gaming announced that they have decided to disband the one-year-old Dota 2 team, which included Palos, Abed, Jabz, Q and Oli.

It is said that Palos, Oli and coach SunBhie have become free players, while Abed, Jabz and are open to transfer and are willing to play for other e-sports clubs.

Although Aurora Gaming's lineup has only been established for one year, they have achieved certain results in the past year. In 2024, Aurora Gaming participated in TI2024, DreamLeague S23 and PGL Wallachia S1, and won 7th place in all the competitions.

At the same time, Aurora Gaming also took 5th place in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 event. These results are not very good, but they are not bad either. I didn't expect Aurora Gaming to choose to disband the lineup.

However, Aurora Gaming's release of the current lineup does not mean that they will give up on Dota 2 events. Aurora Gaming said that it will continue to compete in Dota 2 events, so it may announce the new lineup for 2025 in the near future.
