One shouldn't be complacent, and the same principle applies to running a team. If you're representing a country, your first thought will be to recruit players of the same nationality. For example, the German team's entry requirement is German citizenship. The world is vast, and talent abounds. In a highly competitive environment, everyone is chasing championships, rankings, and high prize money. Their goal is very clear: to win. At this point, you might ask yourself: is your birthplace really that important? Between nationality and high skill level, what would you choose?
Take South Korean girl groups as an example. As fans or listeners, they naturally assume that all the members are Korean. Look at the most successful group right now, BLACKPINK, who are unstoppable. They have signed endorsements with multiple luxury brands. Each member has a different background, is fluent in Korean, and serves as a role model for the group. Each of the five members can also shine individually and give full play to their strengths. Then there's Katseye, a Los Angeles girl group that mainly plays Korean pop music. The members have diverse backgrounds, including Korean, Filipino, Swiss, and American. They are all of mixed race. At a young age, they have become incredibly popular and have been nominated for several music awards.
Returning to the esports scene, CS2 clubs are also starting to set aside their prejudices and move towards internationalization. Recently, BIG Academy, the youth training team under the German club BIG, announced the signing of two Ukrainian players, doni and tripex17. doni has an average rating of 1.04, while tripex17 will serve as the commander, leading his former team to a championship. As for Spiidi, he will become a coach. With this new lineup, a new chapter is about to begin.
