Jordanian legendary rifleman ISSAA has announced his retirement and will pursue a career in coaching.

Jordanian esports legend Issa Murad (ID: ISSAA) released a statement on Wednesday confirming the end of his nearly decade-long professional career. He also announced that he will pursue a career as a coach after retiring.

The statement reads: "After years of competing in professional CS and considering my future direction, I have confidently taken my first step into becoming a coach."

"Throughout my career, I have experienced the Special Championship, international teams, and high-pressure moments, as well as the highs and lows. From a star rifler to a support role, and finally to an instructor – the experience of multiple roles, combined with the lessons I have learned from outstanding leaders such as Aleksib and ANGE1, has shaped my ideal image of a coach."

"I deeply understand how players feel under pressure, how confidence is built and destroyed, when to give players feedback, how different personalities of players react, and what players truly need from coaches—because I've experienced all of this firsthand. These experiences are a significant advantage for me as a coach, enabling me to focus on player development, tactical systems, and long-term team building. I will integrate my experience in top-level competitions, my calm leadership style, and my deep understanding of modern CS2 into my coaching."

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my career. Based on the above experience, I am currently seeking a position as head coach, assistant coach, or tactical analyst—depending on the project. I am also interested in projects that start from scratch.”

The 29-year-old ISSAA began his professional career in 2016 and has played as a rifler for several CS teams, including Chosen5, Gux & Friends, HellRaisers, OG, and Eternal Fire. His most notable achievement is winning the MVP award at the 2018 DreamHack Open, and he also competed with his team in the 2018 FACEIT London Major, the 2019 IEM Katowice, and the 2019 StarLadder Berlin Major.

Due to the pandemic and his own performance, ISSAA briefly switched to the VALORANT scene in 2022. However, he returned to the CS scene after only one year and has been playing for the JiJieHao team ever since.

According to HLTV statistics, ISSAA has played a total of 1,066 maps and participated in 27,133 rounds in his professional career, with an average personal rating of 1.05.
