FaZe Clan is facing a historic downturn, and a deep roster overhaul is urgently needed.

The once dominant FaZe Clan is now facing an unprecedented crisis of dominance. Since the 2025 Budapest Major, this veteran powerhouse has been in a slump.
Statistics show that FaZe failed to advance beyond the playoffs in 9 out of the last 11 world-class tournaments. For a top team with a deep foundation, a year-long "deep squat" has failed to yield a leap forward, raising fundamental questions about its current core structure.
Currently, FaZe ranks at the bottom of the Top 20 teams in all core statistics. Their 5v4 advantage conversion rate and multi-kill percentage are abysmal, meaning the team lacks the ability to close out games when they gain a numerical advantage and is extremely reliant on individual player outbursts.
The poor performance of star sniper broky is considered the main reason for the team's decline. In recent PGL CFR Cluj-Napoca tournaments, his rating has failed to break 1. Even more disheartening is that, as the main sniper, his average damage per game (ADR) is even lower than that of in-game leader karrigan.
This lack of influence has resulted in FaZe lacking deterrence on the front lines. It is widely believed that FaZe may need to bring in a hungry newcomer like mhL, or even recruit the legendary player s1mple to fill the firepower gap.
Besides the players' individual slumps, the leadership of veteran strategist karrigan is also being tested. FaZe is exhibiting an extremely abnormal performance: they can still compete with top teams, but they frequently suffer unexpected defeats against second-tier teams such as 3DMAX and EYEBALLERS.
With less than three weeks to go before ESL Pro League S23, FaZe has no room for error. If the management doesn't decisively initiate a large-scale roster overhaul involving more than one player, this once-dynasty team may be relegated to second-tier status by the 2026 Major cycle.
