League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Valorant officially confirmed as Esport World Cup 2025 events..

The Esport World Cup (EWC) confirmed and announced on its official website on Monday that League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Valorant will be among the newest events in their 2025 edition of the tournament.

According to EWC's official statement, this is the first time that Valorant has been added to the Esport World Cup competition programme, and the dates of the three events have not yet been announced.

With this announcement, it also means that League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Valorant will become the 21st, 22nd and 23rd events of this EWC respectively.

Currently, only Counter Strike 2 (CS2) and chess have been confirmed to be held from August 20 to 24 and July 31 to August 3 respectively.

The Esport World Cup 2025 will be held again in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from July to August this summer.

The top teams with the highest overall ranking in the 2024 Esport World Cup will automatically qualify as invited teams. They are T1, Fnatic, NAVI, FaZe Clan, Vitality, BDS, Gaimin Gladiators (GG), Liquid and the host Falcons.

In addition, the list of the remaining 32 participating teams has not yet been announced. The complete list of participating teams will be announced on February 28 at the latest.
