Ibrahimovic praised Jimenez for his outstanding performance

Swedish legend and current AC Milan consultant Zlatan Ibrahimovic praised Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez for his outstanding performance in Serie A. The striker, who joined in the winter window, scored in his first two games in Serie A, tying the achievements of club legends Andriy Shevchenko and Christian Pulisic.

Jimenez joined AC Milan from Feyenoord in January and has quickly shown his scoring ability. In last weekend's 1-0 win over Verona, he scored the winning goal to complete his second consecutive Serie A victory.

Ibrahimovic recognized his performance: "He has scored in two consecutive league games. These two goals have made him make history. I hope he can score in the third game."

The 23-year-old Jimenez has performed well in the Eredivisie this season, contributing 16 goals and 4 assists for Feyenoord, and attracted the attention of many European giants in the winter transfer window. In the end, he chose to join AC Milan and scored against Empoli in his debut as a substitute.

AC Milan is currently going through a challenging season. After the first 24 rounds of Serie A, the Rossoneri are ranked seventh with 41 points, 15 points behind the leader Napoli. At the same time, they are still 5 points away from fourth-placed Juventus, who are occupying the last Champions League qualification spot.

For Milan, Jimenez's continued outstanding performance may become an important weight in their impact on the Champions League qualification.
