Manchester United extend Amad Diallo's contract until 2030, with weekly salary increasing to £750,000

Manchester United released a statement on Thursday confirming that it has completed a contract extension with Amad Diallo. The new contract will extend the original contract by five and a half years until June 30, 2030.

It is also reported that Amad Diallo's weekly salary will increase from 20,000 pounds to 750,000 pounds.

Commenting on the decision to extend Amad's contract, Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox said: "We are all very pleased with Amad's progress; he is a key member of Manchester United's future with his skill, versatility and determination."

"The best of his career is yet to come. We look forward to helping Amad realise his huge potential and achieving shared success with the club in the coming seasons."

The 22-year-old Amad Diallo was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and immigrated to Italy with his brother when he was 8 years old. He joined Atalanta's youth training in 2015 and made his debut for the first team in Serie A on October 27, 2019.

In January 2021, Amad joined Manchester United from Atalanta for 21.3 million euros. He mainly plays as a right winger in Manchester United. So far, he has made 50 appearances, contributed 9 goals and 9 assists, and won the FA Cup with the team last term. Since the start of this season, Amad has also won the Manchester United Player of the Month twice with his outstanding performance of 6 goals and 7 assists in 28 games.

After completing the signing, Ahmad said: "I am very proud to sign my new contract. I have had some unforgettable moments at the club, but there are more achievements waiting for me in the future. I have great ambitions in football and I hope to make history at Manchester United."

“I have learned a lot at Manchester United since joining us four years ago. I am very grateful to the coaches and staff for their help and to the fans for motivating me every day.”

"This season has not been easy for everyone, but I firmly believe that we are on the right track and the future will be very special. I am ready to give my all for the team and make our fans proud again."
