Nelson Semedo, who currently plays for Wolves, hopes the team he has built will have a close-knit team that can help on the pitch and play a vital role in the Premier League relegation battle.
Nelson Semedo took on captaincy duties in December and brought in three new players in the January transfer window. His task is to bring the players closer together outside of training and build team spirit.
It is reported that Nelson Semedo arranged a paintball shooting activity for the team in Cosford and also arranged for everyone to have dinner together at the "Fjaka" restaurant. Nelson Semedo believes that the team's mental state and recent performances are enough to support the team to leave with important three points.
Nelson Semedo said: "I am enjoying it and I think we are doing better and better now. However, I know we still have a lot to improve because we have very good professionals and I know we have great people in the locker room. Everyone trusts me and I trust everyone, so I just do my job."
"I recently took the team out for paintball and we had a lot of fun. I had a little injury but it's part of the job. It's important for us to build team spirit because we know that doing something off the pitch and having some fun with it will help us improve on the pitch."
"Everyone is giving more unconsciously, and everyone is willing to help their teammates. I think we all feel that the teammates around us are part of the family. I will be here to support everyone. But I know that if I need it, everyone will also be here to support me."
Nelson Semedo added: "It is important to get the new signings to adapt as quickly as possible and I think to do this it is not enough to just train with them, we have to show them our side outside the club."
"So we went to dinner together, we went to Sasa's restaurant and he invited us. I think it was a really good thing that we did that, the way we welcomed them made them feel comfortable, especially for Serge Jacoba Giga and Marshall Muncy because their families are not here. They are staying in the hotel right now, so it was really good that I brought them along and made them feel part of the team."
"Marshall Muncy is a really talented player and he works really hard. Even though he didn't play to his level against Liverpool, you could see he was always ready to play. You could see he works really hard and no matter what position you put him in, he's going to do his best."
"Although he is not a striker, he appeared in the penalty area several times and got chances. In addition, Marshall Muncy has good physical fitness, so I think he will be a great help to us."
"We want to move up in the table, but we need to take it game by game and try to get as many points as possible. We have to be in our best form to win these games, and next we have Bournemouth. In any case, we will go all out and try to win the game."
