Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany praises team's defence and resilience

In the 24th round of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season, Bayern Munich defeated Stuttgart 3-1, and coach Vincent Kompany praised the team's defense and resilience.

Although Stuttgart took the lead in the first half, Michael Oliseh scored a goal to tie the score before the end of the first half. In the second half, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman each scored a goal to help Bayern Munich win.

In the post-match interview, Kompany commented: "This is a real top German duel. It is never easy to play against Stuttgart away. I enjoyed this victory. Especially because Stuttgart played better than us at the beginning."

"However, we took advantage of a big chance in the first half, gradually found our rhythm, and kept threatening in the second half. This kind of game is sometimes like this, and the key is that we showed strong defense and tenacious resilience."

"Obviously, our goal is to win trophies, but it's more important that we always stay strong. We have to keep going down this path and keep believing."

Bayern Munich's sporting director Christoph Freund was also happy with the victory, saying: "This team's game is enjoyable, especially their mentality. It was a difficult away game, but in the end we brought back three points and today was a good night."

Bayern Munich currently has 61 points in the Bundesliga, ranking first in the standings, 11 points ahead of second-placed Leverkusen. Bayern Munich's next Bundesliga match will be on March 8, at home against Bochum.
