Virgil van Dijk is looking forward to the Champions League knockout stages and admits Liverpool will have to withstand a test against Paris Saint-Germain after winning seven of their eight games in the first league stage of the competition and meeting the French champions in the last 16.
Currently, Paris Saint-Germain is ranked 15th in the league and defeated French Ligue 1 team Brest with a total score of 10-0 in the knockout round. In the first round, Liverpool will go to the Parc des Princes in Paris and return to Anfield for the second round.
Virgil van Dijk said: "I think it will be a difficult game against a team that is in good form. I thought they played very well in the last Champions League game against Brest. We know it will be difficult but these are the games we want to play and I am really looking forward to it."
“Before this, we spent some time with our family and had a chance to spend some time with the kids.”
"It feels like we have reached another level in the Champions League now. We are in the knockout stage and basically have no time to make mistakes or play bad shots. We still have two games to play and we hope to play better so that we have a chance to advance."
"We have to fight for it and we need to do our best to win the game. That's our job so we have to do our best."
