Serie A: Thuram and Kupmenas scored as Juventus beat Verona 2-0 and finished fourth

First Half

Juventus launched a series of attacks after the opening. In the 3rd minute, Locatelli completed the first shot of the game outside the penalty area. In the 14th minute, McKennie chested the ball in the penalty area, and Kevren Thuram's close-range shot was saved by Montipo. In the 22nd minute, Yildiz took a corner kick from the left, and Kelly headed the ball in the penalty area, but it was slightly higher. In the 33rd minute, Yildiz took another corner kick, and Nicolas Gonzalez's header failed to hit the target.

In the 72nd minute, Juventus finally broke the deadlock: Cambiasso made a triangle pass from the left side of the penalty area, and Thuram scored with a push shot from the middle. In the 90th minute, Mbangula made a diagonal pass from the right, and Kupmenas broke into the penalty area and shot low. With Kupmenas scoring another goal, Juventus finally secured the victory with 2-0.
