Former FaZe ace AWP-er GuardiaN officially announce retirement..

American Counter Strike 2 (CS2) e-sports team FaZe's former Slovak ace AWP-er GuardiaN, suddenly announced on his personal official Twitter on Wednesday that he would retire immediately.

In order to make this announcement, GuardiaN also specifically accepted an exclusive interview with his current team BC.Game, and even uploaded the interview clip to the team's official YouTube channel.

In the interview, GuardiaN explained that because of his age, although he still loves Counter Strike 2 (CS2), he has lost the motivation to continue to participate in professional tournaments because he is willing but unable, hence he eventually chose to retire.

He also revealed that after retirement, he may turn to being a streamer or analyst, and focus on finding some business collaboration opportunities.

Looking back on his 19-year professional career, GuardiaN admitted that there were two games that are his most memorable and his favourite.

The first one was when he played for FaZe in the 2018 Intel Extreme Masters Katowice Finals, where he single-handedly defeated Fnatic against five opponents and helped the team get a point back 6-3.

The other one was when he played for NAVI against Cloud9 (C9) in ESL One Cologne 2017, where he delivered a performance that was rated as the second best in the entire tournament despite being at a disadvantage.

As for his favourite moment, GuardiaN chose when he played for NAVI.

He said that because he had tried to win before, but always failed, he couldn't help crying when he and NAVI finally tasted winning the first place in 2014.

If he had to choose a favourite teammate, he would choose FaZe's ace Rifler Rain, and described Rain as a kind, unique, and good roommate who could fight side by side.

Finally, GuardiaN also took this opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to all his teammates, especially those from NAVI and FaZe. He was also very grateful to BC.Game for giving him the opportunity to try to be a coach.

At the same time, he was also very grateful to the fans for their warm support and to those who hated him for their harsh criticism, because it was through everyone's humble criticism that he could learn from his mistakes and become better.

He also hoped that all the younger fans and players could take him as an example and not feel embarrassed because of their humble background, because as long as they were willing to work hard, a young man from Slovakia like him could also become famous and become one of the CS2 professional e-sports players loved by everyone in the world.
